Role Overview

Application Architect responsible for defining and governing the technical architecture of SAP ABAP solutions within SAP S/4HANA implementation projects. The role provides technical leadership for development teams, establishes development standards, and ensures that SAP solutions are scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with SAP best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the overall technical architecture for SAP WRICEF developments (Enhancements, Reports, Forms, Workflows, Interfaces, Conversions)
• Define architecture decisions for ABAP Cloud and On-Premise development
• Establish coding standards, naming conventions, and development best practices
• Lead code reviews and ensure compliance with ATC, Sonar, and quality standards
• Drive application performance optimization and SAP authorization/security best practices
• Coordinate and mentor the SAP development team throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in sprint planning, technical estimations, and defect resolution
• Design technical solutions for SAP FI/CO enhancements, BRF+, Forms, Workflows, and Embedded BW reporting
• Collaborate closely with testing, data migration, and cutover teams to ensure successful solution delivery

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in SAP ABAP OO development
• Strong knowledge of ABAP Cloud, CDS Views, and RAP
• Experience designing enterprise SAP application architectures
• Expertise in BRF+, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, and Output Management
• Experience with gCTS, CTS+, and modern SAP development lifecycle tools
• Strong knowledge of ATC, code quality, performance optimization, and secure development practices
• Experience leading SAP development teams in complex implementation projects
• Strong understanding of SAP FI/CO enhancements and Embedded BW development
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
