Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Application / Solution Architect at Master level to provide solution architecture and technical leadership for Lead to Cash (L2C) / Order to Cash (O2C) and Demand to Supply (D2S) / Supply Chainprocesses within complex SAP environments.

The role will focus on SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation, implementation and migration initiatives, defining target-state architectures and ensuring that SAP solutions are scalable, integrated and aligned with S/4HANA best practices.

The successful candidate will work across business, functional, technical and integration teams, translating business requirements into robust solution designs and providing architectural guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Provide solution architecture and technical leadership for L2C/O2C and D2S/Supply Chain processes and initiatives.

·       Define scalable SAP solution architectures aligned with business requirements and SAP S/4HANA best practices.

·       Assess existing SAP ECC processes, solutions and integrations and define their target-state design in SAP S/4HANA.

·       Support SAP transformation, implementation and migration programmes, including defining the transition from ECC to S/4HANA.

·       Analyse end-to-end business processes and identify cross-functional dependencies across SAP modules and surrounding systems.

·       Design and govern cross-functional SAP integrations and ensure alignment across applications and enterprise systems.

·       Translate business requirements into functional and technical solution architectures.

·       Define architectural principles, design decisions, solution options and implementation roadmaps.

·       Work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, technical teams, developers, integration architects and other solution architects.

·       Identify architectural dependencies, risks, gaps and potential impacts across the solution landscape.

·       Identify opportunities for simplification, standardisation and SAP standard adoption.

·       Evaluate existing customisations and recommend appropriate S/4HANA target-state solutions.

·       Ensure that proposed solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

·       Provide architectural guidance during design, development, testing, deployment and migration activities.

·       Review solution designs and technical specifications produced by delivery teams.

·       Support resolution of complex architectural and integration issues.

·       Communicate architecture decisions, risks and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.

·       Contribute to architecture governance and maintain relevant architecture documentation.

Required Experience:

·       Extensive experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementations, transformations and/or migrations.

·       Proven experience working as an SAP Solution Architect, SAP Functional Architect or SAP Application Architect in complex enterprise environments.

·       Strong knowledge of Lead to Cash (L2C) / Order to Cash (O2C) processes.

·       Strong knowledge of Demand to Supply (D2S) / Supply Chain processes.

·       Good understanding of SAP integration points and end-to-end process dependencies.

·       Experience defining solution architecture, architectural design decisions and implementation roadmaps.

·       Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and transformation principles.

·       Ability to assess existing SAP ECC solutions and define appropriate S/4HANA target-state architectures.

·       Experience working across multiple SAP functional areas and understanding cross-functional dependencies.

·       Strong understanding of enterprise integration between SAP and surrounding applications.

·       Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Experience working in large-scale SAP transformation or implementation programmes.

SAP HANA / Technical Architecture:

·       Strong understanding of SAP HANA and its role within SAP S/4HANA architectures.

·       Understanding of SAP HANA data models and application architecture.

·       Ability to assess technical implications of moving from ECC to S/4HANA.

·       Understanding of SAP S/4HANA simplification and standardisation principles.

·       Knowledge of SAP integration technologies and architecture patterns.

·       Ability to evaluate technical dependencies between SAP applications, integrations and surrounding systems.

Seniority Expectations – Master:

The Master-level Application Architect is expected to provide end-to-end architectural leadership across complex SAP transformation and implementation programmes.

The candidate should be able to independently assess existing SAP ECC landscapes, define S/4HANA target-state architectures, make architectural decisions and provide technical leadership across L2C/O2C and D2S/Supply Chainprocesses.

The role requires the ability to bridge business requirements, functional processes, SAP technology and enterprise integration, while influencing senior stakeholders and guiding technical and functional delivery teams.

The candidate should operate with a high degree of autonomy and be capable of identifying architectural risks, dependencies and opportunities for simplification and standardisation across the SAP landscape.
