Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to maintain, operate, and continuously improve highly available and scalable infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems.

The role focuses on CI/CD automation, infrastructure operations, deployment, monitoring, system stability, and automation improvement, with GitHub Actions as the primary CI/CD platform and Bash scripting as a key automation capability.

The successful candidate will work as part of an international, autonomous, and agile engineering team using modern DevOps technologies and practices.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Operations

• Maintain and operate highly available and scalable infrastructure.
• Ensure the stability, reliability, and availability of mission-critical systems.
• Monitor infrastructure and application environments and proactively identify potential issues.
• Investigate operational incidents and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Continuously improve system reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
• Support deployment and operational activities across the application lifecycle.

CI/CD & Automation

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimise CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Automate build, test, deployment, and operational processes.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines to increase efficiency, reliability, repeatability, and deployment speed.
• Identify manual processes and implement appropriate automation.
• Integrate development and operational tools into automated workflows.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and optimise workflow execution.

Bash & Scripting

• Develop and maintain advanced Bash scripts for automation and operational activities.
• Automate system administration and deployment tasks.
• Integrate command-line tools and services into CI/CD workflows.
• Develop reusable scripts for monitoring, diagnostics, deployment, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and optimise existing automation scripts.

Deployment & Monitoring

• Provide innovative and reliable solutions for application and infrastructure deployment.
• Support automated deployment across different environments.
• Implement and improve monitoring and operational processes.
• Contribute to observability and system health monitoring.
• Ensure deployment processes are secure, reliable, and repeatable.
• Support troubleshooting of production and pre-production environments.

Collaboration

• Collaborate with an international, self-organising and agile engineering team.
• Work closely with developers, infrastructure engineers, QA, and other technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Share knowledge and promote DevOps best practices across the team.

Required Skills & Experience

GitHub Actions & CI/CD

• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD workflows.
• Strong understanding of automated:

Bash

• Experience developing robust, maintainable scripts for CI/CD and infrastructure operations.

DevOps & Infrastructure

• Good understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience operating highly available and scalable systems.
• Understanding of infrastructure reliability, monitoring, deployment, and operational stability.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications and environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of GitHub Enterprise.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Experience with Python or another scripting language.
