Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer at Journeyman level with strong expertise in React and Node.jsto develop and maintain modern, scalable web applications.

The role has a strong focus on frontend development with React, Next.js and TypeScript, combined with solid backend experience using Node.js. The successful candidate will work across the full application stack, contributing to application architecture, APIs, state management, testing, cloud and DevOps practices.

Experience with ecommerce, composable commerce, Design Systems and modern cloud platforms is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Design, develop and maintain modern full stack web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js.

·       Develop responsive, scalable and reusable frontend components using HTML5, CSS3 and CSS preprocessors.

·       Apply modern ES6/ES7 JavaScript features and development best practices.

·       Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.

·       Develop and integrate REST APIs and GraphQL services.

·       Work with Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation and integration.

·       Implement and maintain application state management using technologies such as Redux, Zustand or equivalent libraries.

·       Contribute to the design and implementation of full stack application architectures, including BFF (Backend for Frontend), connectors and integration layers.

·       Implement and consume reusable components based on established Design Systems.

·       Develop automated tests using testing frameworks such as Jest or Vitest.

·       Ensure application quality through code reviews, automated testing and adherence to coding standards.

·       Collaborate with DevOps teams to support application build, deployment and operational processes.

·       Apply Git best practices, including branching, merging and pull-request workflows.

·       Work with cloud platforms and understand cloud-based application deployment strategies.

·       Participate in Scrum/Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative software delivery.

·       Collaborate with internal teams, third-party partners and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.

·       Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to performance and reliability improvements.

·       Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

·       Support continuous improvement of development processes, architecture and engineering practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

Frontend Development

·       Strong knowledge of JavaScript ES6/ES7.

·       Minimum 3 years of experience with HTML5/CSS3 or a relevant CSS preprocessor.

·       Professional experience with TypeScript.

·       Minimum 4.5 years of experience with React.

·       Minimum 1 year of experience with Next.js.

·       Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand or equivalent.

·       Experience implementing and working with Design Systems.

·       Strong understanding of modern frontend development principles.

Backend Development

·       Minimum 4.5 years of experience with Node.js.

·       Experience developing full stack applications and backend services.

·       Experience working with REST APIs and/or GraphQL.

·       Experience using Swagger/OpenAPI.

·       Understanding of BFF architectures, connectors and backend integration patterns.

Testing

·       Experience with frontend/backend testing practices.

·       Knowledge of testing libraries such as Jest, Vitest or equivalent.

·       Ability to write and maintain automated unit and integration tests.

·       Understanding of testable application design and quality engineering practices.

Cloud & DevOps

·       Good understanding of DevOps strategies and practices.

·       Knowledge of cloud-based application architectures and cloud products.

·       Solid experience with Git and modern source-control workflows.

·       Understanding of CI/CD concepts and application deployment processes.

Agile & Collaboration

·       Experience working in Scrum and Agile development methodologies.

·       Good command of English.

·       Strong communication and teamwork skills.

·       Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, third-party collaborators and clients.

Seniority Expectations – Journeyman:

The Journeyman-level Full Stack Developer should be capable of independently delivering complex development tasks across both frontend and backend layers.

The candidate is expected to have strong hands-on experience with React and Node.js, understand modern full stack application architecture, and contribute effectively to technical design and implementation decisions.

The role does not require full architectural ownership, but the candidate should be comfortable working with BFF architectures, APIs, state management, Design Systems, testing and cloud/DevOps practices, while collaborating closely with senior developers, architects and other stakeholders.
