Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP / ABAP Cloud Technical Architect with strong hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP and SAP BTP Kyma, combined with modern SAP application development and architecture skills.
The role will focus on designing and delivering enterprise SAP applications, cloud extensions, integrations, and technical solutions using ABAP, SAP BTP Kyma, SAP UI5, OData Services, and CDS Views.
The candidate will work across SAP and cloud environments, contributing to application modernization, clean-core extension strategies, API-based integration, and SAP HANA-based solutions. Strong SAP-specific expertise, particularly ABAP and Kyma, is the primary requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead the technical architecture of SAP BTP and ABAP-based solutions.
Design and develop enterprise SAP applications and cloud extensions.
Design and implement SAP solutions using ABAP / ABAP Cloud.
Design and implement cloud-native extensions using SAP BTP Kyma.
Develop modern web applications and user interfaces using SAP UI5 and JavaScript.
Design, develop, and consume OData Services.
Design and implement ABAP CDS Views and data models.
Design and govern integration patterns between SAP applications and external/cloud systems.
Design and develop API-based integration solutions.
Work with SAP HANA database technologies and HANA-based data models.
Define technical architecture patterns for SAP BTP and cloud-native applications.
Apply SAP clean-core and cloud extensibility principles.
Support the modernization and extension of SAP ECC / S/4HANA landscapes.
Provide technical leadership across SAP development, integration, and architecture activities.
Perform technical analysis, solution design, development, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
Ensure SAP solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, integration, and development standards.
Contribute to application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, solution architects, developers, integration teams, security teams, and business stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to SAP development teams.
Must-Have Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP.
Strong experience with SAP BTP Kyma.
Strong SAP application development experience.
Strong knowledge of SAP UI5 development.
Strong knowledge of OData Services.
Strong knowledge of ABAP CDS Views.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and modern web development.
Experience with SAP HANA database and data modeling.
Experience designing and implementing APIs and integration solutions.
Understanding of application security and cybersecurity principles.
Experience designing scalable and maintainable SAP cloud solutions.
Strong understanding of SAP BTP architecture and cloud extension patterns.
