Role Overview

We are looking for a SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Consultant with strong experience in SAP data migration, data quality, data analysis, and enterprise information management.

The role will be part of the 0.6 CNE/EKA deployment across Europe, supporting the migration of SAP S/4HANA master and transactional data. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end data migration activities including data scoping, profiling, mapping, transformation, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, mock loads, defect resolution, and sign-off readiness.

The candidate will work closely with business, functional, technical, testing, and cutover teams to ensure high-quality, traceable, auditable, and deployment-ready data across the SAP S/4HANA transformation program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support SAP S/4HANA master and transactional data migration activities across European deployments.

  • Perform end-to-end data migration activities including:

    • Data scoping

    • Data profiling

    • Data mapping

    • Data transformation

    • Data cleansing

    • Data validation

    • Data reconciliation

  • Analyze source data and identify data quality issues, gaps, inconsistencies, and transformation requirements.

  • Define and maintain data mapping and transformation requirements for migration into SAP S/4HANA.

  • Support the preparation, execution, and validation of mock migration loads.

  • Coordinate migration activities across business, functional, technical, testing, and cutover teams.

  • Track migration dependencies, milestones, issues, defects, and actions.

  • Investigate migration defects and coordinate resolution with relevant business and technical stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate data mapping logs, issue logs, defect trackers, and migration documentation.

  • Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation following migration loads.

  • Support data quality assessment and remediation activities.

  • Ensure migrated data meets agreed business, functional, and technical requirements.

  • Coordinate data validation cycles with business and functional teams.

  • Support sign-off readiness by ensuring migration deliverables, validation results, defects, and reconciliation activities are completed and documented.

  • Provide migration status, risks, issues, and dependencies to relevant project stakeholders.

  • Ensure data migration activities support required standards for data quality, traceability, auditability, and governance.

  • Contribute to migration planning, testing, cutover, and deployment activities.

  • Support continuous improvement of data migration processes, templates, controls, and documentation.

Must-Have Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA data migration.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP master data and transactional data concepts.

  • Experience supporting enterprise SAP data migration or transformation programs.

  • Strong knowledge of:

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA master data migration.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.

  • Ability to analyze large and complex datasets and identify data quality issues.

  • Experience maintaining data mapping documents, migration trackers, issue logs, and reconciliation reports.

  • Strong understanding of data quality and data governance principles.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams during SAP migration programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting SAP S/4HANA deployment or rollout programs.

  • Experience working on European or global SAP deployments.

  • Experience with SAP EIM or enterprise data management.

  • Experience with SAP data migration tools and frameworks.

  • Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit or equivalent SAP migration solutions.

  • Experience supporting master-data cleansing, harmonization, and remediation.

  • Experience with SAP master data domains such as:

    • Customer

    • Supplier

    • Material

    • Finance

    • Procurement

    • Sales

  • Experience with migration testing, mock loads, cutover, and go-live activities.

  • Experience working with business and functional teams to obtain data validation and sign-off.

  • Experience in data reconciliation and post-load validation.

  • Experience working within large-scale, multi-country SAP transformation programs.
