Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior CommerceTools Full Stack Developer with strong experience in enterprise e-commerce, modern frontend and backend development, and composable commerce architectures.

The role combines hands-on full-stack development with technical leadership. The candidate will design and implement end-to-end CommerceTools solutions, lead technical discussions, collaborate with architects and clients, and contribute to scalable, secure, cloud-native e-commerce platforms based on MACH and composable commerce principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end CommerceTools solutions across frontend and backend layers.
• Lead technical design and implementation for complex e-commerce initiatives.
• Develop responsive, accessible, and high-quality user interfaces using React, Angular, or similar modern frameworks.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations using Node.js and/or Java.
• Design and implement integrations with third-party platforms, including:
• • ERP
  • CRM
  • PIM
  • OMS
  • Payment providers
  • Logistics platforms
  • Marketing platforms
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to define technical architectures aligned with MACH and composable commerce principles.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and solution workshops with internal and client stakeholders.
• Ensure seamless integration between frontend, backend, CommerceTools, and external services.
• Conduct code reviews and promote coding standards, development best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers.
• Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, deployment automation, and cloud-native development initiatives.
• Optimize application performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Participate in estimation, technical planning, and delivery governance.
• Stay current with CommerceTools capabilities, emerging technologies, and digital commerce trends.
• Identify opportunities for technical and product innovation.

Required Technical Skills

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong experience with enterprise web applications and e-commerce solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Advanced experience with React; Angular or another modern frontend framework is also relevant.
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js and/or Java.
• Hands-on experience with CommerceTools.
• Strong understanding of composable commerce architectures.
• Strong understanding of MACH principles:

• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications with third-party systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native development on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with web performance optimization.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as:

• Strong understanding of security best practices for modern web and API-based applications.
