Role Overview

Mainframe Developer responsible for maintaining and enhancing business-critical applications within the Financial Services sector. The role focuses on implementing corrective and evolutionary changes, supporting legacy systems, and ensuring reliable operation of banking and insurance solutions running on IBM Mainframe environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, and JCL
  • Implement corrective fixes and functional enhancements
  • Analyze and resolve production and application issues
  • Develop and optimize SQL and DB2-based processes
  • Support testing, deployment, and release activities
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver solutions
  • Contribute to application documentation and knowledge sharing

Required Skills

  • Experience with COBOL development in Mainframe environments
  • Knowledge of CICS, JCL, and DB2
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience supporting maintenance and enhancement projects
  • Understanding of financial services applications (banking or insurance)
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in English plus an additional language (French, German, or similar)
