Role Overview

We are looking for a SAP Integration Consultant with hands-on experience designing and implementing integrations between SAP, legacy systems, and external applications.

The role will be responsible for delivering reliable end-to-end integration solutions, covering interface design, development, data mapping, error handling, testing, deployment, and operational support.

The successful candidate will work closely with SAP functional teams, developers, business stakeholders, and external application teams to ensure seamless integration across the enterprise landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations between SAP, legacy platforms, and external applications.
• Analyse integration requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
• Design and develop interfaces using APIs, IDocs, web services, and middleware technologies.
• Define and maintain data mappings between source and target systems.
• Analyse data structures, transformation requirements, and interface dependencies.
• Implement appropriate error handling, monitoring, logging, and retry mechanisms.
• Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to ensure correct integration behaviour.
• Support integration testing across the complete end-to-end business process.
• Develop and execute integration test scenarios and support defect resolution.
• Troubleshoot interface failures and investigate integration-related issues.
• Coordinate with legacy and third-party application teams to resolve integration problems.
• Support cutover planning and execution, including interface readiness and deployment activities.
• Provide technical support during go-live and post-go-live stabilisation.
• Monitor interfaces and support resolution of production integration incidents.
• Maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, data mappings, and operational procedures.
• Ensure integrations follow established technical, security, and enterprise architecture standards.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP Integration

• Proven experience designing and implementing SAP integrations.
• Experience integrating SAP with:

APIs & Middleware

• Strong knowledge of APIs and web services.

SAP Interfaces

• Strong knowledge of IDocs and SAP interface mechanisms.
• Experience with web services and service-based integrations.
• Understanding of SAP data structures and interface dependencies.
• Knowledge of standard SAP integration technologies such as RFC/BAPI is advantageous.

Data Mapping & Transformation

• Experience defining and implementing source-to-target data mappings.
• Ability to analyse data structures and transformation requirements.
• Understanding of data validation and transformation rules.
• Ability to identify data quality issues affecting integrations.

Testing & Quality

• Experience with end-to-end integration testing.
• Ability to design integration test scenarios and test cases.
• Experience coordinating testing across multiple applications and teams.
• Experience analysing and resolving integration defects.
• Understanding of regression testing and production validation.

Cutover & Go-Live

• Experience supporting SAP cutover activities.
• Ability to validate interface readiness before go-live.
• Experience supporting deployment and release activities.
• Experience providing post-go-live integration support and stabilisation.
• Ability to troubleshoot production integration issues.
