Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced SAP FPSL Consultant with strong functional and technical expertise in Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) to support the design, implementation, enhancement, integration, and optimization of SAP FPSL solutions.

The role combines FPSL accounting configuration, data model expertise, integration, performance optimization, controls, reporting, and upgrade/transformation activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working across the broader SAP/Fioneer ecosystem and be capable of translating business and regulatory requirements into scalable FPSL solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement SAP FPSL accounting configurations, including:
• • Subledger and General Ledger (GL) account derivation
  • Valuation methods aligned with business and regulatory requirements
  • Configuration of new asset classes and banking products
• Design and enhance the FPSL data model, including:
• • SDL
  • Subledger Code Block
  • RDL
  • Data Load Layer (DLL)
• Implement data model enhancements and data quality controls.
• Design and adjust GL integration and mapping logic.
• Extend code block attributes where required.
• Design and implement reconciliation frameworks between source systems, FPSL, and GL.
• Develop and enhance inbound and outbound interfaces.
• Integrate new source systems into FPSL, covering:
• • Data model changes
  • Interface development
  • Configuration
  • End-to-end processing flows
• Design end-to-end processing flows for new source systems and business domains.
• Assess and optimize FPSL processing performance and batch execution chains.
• Design and implement data lifecycle management strategies, including:
• • Aging
  • Archiving
  • Retention
  • Deletion
  • Hot/cold storage
  • Table partitioning
• Define and implement technical and functional controls.
• Establish monitoring, error handling, and remediation processes.
• Design and enhance operational, management, financial, and regulatory reporting solutions.
• Support SAP FPSL upgrades to the latest releases and support packages.
• Perform impact assessments and regression testing during upgrades.
• Ensure business continuity and platform stability following upgrades.
• Evaluate new FPSL functionality and roadmap features.
• Recommend improvements focused on automation, compliance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to process, architecture, and performance optimization initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

SAP FPSL – Mandatory

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP FPSL.
• SAP FPSL-related certification(s) – mandatory.
• Strong understanding of FPSL accounting configuration.
• Experience with Subledger and GL account derivation.
• Experience designing and implementing valuation methods.
• Experience configuring new asset classes and/or banking products.

FPSL Data Model & Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of:

• SDL
• Subledger Code Block
• RDL
• Data Load Layer (DLL)
• FPSL data model enhancements and extensions
• Data quality controls
• GL integration and mapping logic
• Code block attribute extensions
• Reconciliation between source systems, FPSL, and GL

Interfaces & Integration

• Experience developing and enhancing inbound and outbound interfaces.
• Experience integrating new source systems into SAP FPSL.
• Ability to design complete processing flows for new source systems and business domains.
• Understanding of ETL and data integration platforms.

Performance & Data Management

• Experience assessing and optimizing FPSL processing performance.
• Experience optimizing batch execution chains.
• Understanding of data lifecycle management.
• Experience with archiving, retention, deletion, aging, and storage strategies.
• Knowledge of database/table partitioning and hot/cold data management.

Controls & Reporting

• Experience defining technical and functional controls.
• Monitoring and error-handling experience.
• Remediation process design.
• Experience with operational, management, financial, and regulatory reporting.
• Familiarity with reporting and analytics platforms.

Upgrade & Transformation

• Experience upgrading SAP FPSL releases and support packages.
• Impact assessment and regression testing.
• Experience ensuring business continuity after upgrades.
• Ability to evaluate new FPSL functionality and roadmap features.
• Experience identifying opportunities for automation, scalability, compliance, and operational improvements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The strongest candidates will be senior SAP FPSL specialists, rather than general SAP FI/CO or SAP HANA consultants. The combination of FPSL accounting + SDL/RDL/Subledger Code Block/DLL + source-system integration + GL reconciliation + performance + upgrade experience should be treated as the core of the profile.
