Role Overview

The Senior SAP PS Functional Consultant will be responsible for the design, configuration, customization, and support of SAP Project System (PS) processes within an SAP S/4HANA environment.

The role requires strong functional expertise in SAP PS, including project and data model concepts, configuration, customization, and data setup. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into effective SAP PS solutions.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori is required, together with strong collaboration and facilitation skills.

Required Skills

SAP Project System (PS)

  • Strong professional experience with SAP PS.
  • Deep understanding of SAP Project System business processes.
  • Experience with project structures, planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling.
  • Strong understanding of SAP PS integration with related SAP modules.

Configuration & Customization

  • Proven experience in SAP PS configuration and customization.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP PS solutions.
  • Experience designing and implementing functional solutions within SAP PS.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex PS configuration and process issues.

PS Data Models & Data Setup

  • Strong understanding of SAP PS data models.
  • Experience with SAP PS master and transactional data structures.
  • Experience with data setup, validation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to analyze data dependencies and relationships within SAP PS.

SAP S/4HANA & Fiori

  • Experience working with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Practical understanding of SAP Fiori and its application within S/4HANA business processes.
  • Ability to support the transition from traditional SAP GUI processes to modern S/4HANA/Fiori solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements related to SAP Project System.
  • Design, configure, and customize SAP PS solutions.
  • Support end-to-end SAP PS processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Define and maintain SAP PS configuration and functional specifications.
  • Analyze and work with PS data models and data structures.
  • Perform data setup, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Support integration between SAP PS and other SAP modules.
  • Evaluate business requirements and propose appropriate SAP standard or customized solutions.
  • Support testing activities, including functional and integration testing.
  • Analyze defects and coordinate their resolution with technical teams.
  • Work closely with business users, functional consultants, developers, and solution architects.
  • Facilitate workshops and requirement discussions with business stakeholders.
  • Provide functional guidance and knowledge transfer to project teams.
  • Contribute to SAP S/4HANA implementation, enhancement, and transformation activities.
  • Support SAP Fiori-related requirements within the PS domain.
  • Prepare and maintain functional documentation.
  • Participate in project activities requiring occasional travel.

Collaboration & Facilitation

  • Facilitate discussions between business stakeholders and SAP delivery teams.
  • Clearly communicate SAP PS concepts and proposed solutions.
  • Gather, clarify, and challenge business requirements where appropriate.
  • Coordinate activities across functional and technical teams.
  • Support decision-making by providing SAP PS expertise and solution recommendations.

Nice to Have

  • SAP PS certification.
  • Experience with large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP Project Management / Portfolio Management.

  • Experience with SAP migration or data conversion activities.
