Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP HCM Payroll Consultant with strong expertise in payroll configuration, country-specific statutory requirements, post-payroll processing, and Employee Central Payroll (ECP).

The role requires deep knowledge of SAP HCM Payroll, including payroll schema and calculation rule customization, wage type configuration, statutory payroll requirements, payroll posting, bank transfer processes, and payroll-related integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and enhance SAP HCM Payroll (PY) solutions.
  • Customize payroll schemas using PE01.
  • Configure and maintain payroll calculation rules using PE02.
  • Design and maintain wage type catalogs and payroll-related wage types.
  • Analyze and implement country-specific payroll requirements, including:
    • Taxation
    • Social security
    • Pension schemes
    • Garnishments
    • Other statutory payroll requirements
  • Configure and support post-payroll processes.
  • Support FI/CO payroll posting runs, including RPCIPE00.
  • Configure and support payroll-related bank transfer processes using DMEE.
  • Manage and support third-party remittance processes.
  • Implement and maintain Employee Central Payroll (ECP) solutions.
  • Configure and support Point-to-Point (P2P) replication between relevant SAP HCM/ECP systems.
  • Support and maintain Payroll Control Center (PCC) processes.
  • Perform payroll issue analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Use ABAP HR debugging to investigate complex payroll calculation and processing issues.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Integration, and technical teams to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Support payroll testing, validation, and implementation activities.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP HCM Payroll (PY).
  • Strong experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
  • Expert knowledge of:
    • Payroll schemas / PE01
    • Payroll calculation rules / PE02
    • Wage types and wage type catalogs
  • Deep understanding of country-specific statutory payroll requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Taxation
    • Social security
    • Pension schemes
    • Garnishments
  • Experience with FI/CO payroll posting.
  • Experience with RPCIPE00.
  • Experience with DMEE and payroll-related bank transfers.
  • Experience with third-party remittance.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining P2P replication.
  • Experience with Payroll Control Center (PCC).
  • Strong ABAP HR debugging skills.
  • Experience with local payroll engines, where applicable.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with complex SAP HCM Payroll / ECP implementations.
  • Experience supporting payroll transformation or migration to Employee Central Payroll.
  • Experience with payroll integration between SAP HCM, ECP, Finance, banks, and third-party providers.
  • Experience with payroll monitoring and validation through PCC.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across functional and technical payroll processes.
