Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP IS-OIL TDP Functional Consultant to support the design and implementation of Oil Excise Duty and Indirect Tax capabilities within SAP ERP environments.

The role requires strong expertise in the SAP IS-OIL TDP (Tariffs, Duty and Permits – IS-OIL-DS-TDP) module, combined with functional knowledge of Indirect Tax, FICO/VAT, and core SAP ERP processes.

The successful candidate will work across global ERP transformation programmes, translating business and regulatory requirements into standardised SAP solutions and configurations, while coordinating with business stakeholders, implementation partners, testing teams, and other vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional expertise in SAP IS-OIL TDP, particularly for Oil Excise Duty capabilities.
• Analyse and translate business, regulatory, and taxation requirements into SAP functional solutions.
• Design and support SAP solutions for Indirect Tax, FICO and VAT processes.
• Configure and validate SAP ERP functionality while promoting standard SAP solutions and minimising unnecessary customisation.
• Analyse integration points between IS-OIL, Finance, Sales, Tax and other core ERP processes.
• Support relevant Order-to-Cash, Finance and core ERP business processes.
• Participate in global ERP transformation and implementation programmes.
• Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify gaps and define appropriate solutions.
• Produce functional specifications, process documentation, configuration documentation and solution design materials.
• Coordinate functional testing, including test planning, test scenario definition, execution support and defect resolution.
• Collaborate with global implementation teams, SAP technical teams and multi-vendor delivery partners.
• Support solution validation, integration testing, UAT and deployment activities.
• Ensure alignment with global ERP standards, governance principles and agreed solution architecture.
• Participate in workshops with business, tax, finance and technical stakeholders.
• Provide functional guidance and expertise to project teams and other SAP consultants.
• Support issue analysis, root-cause investigation and resolution of complex functional problems.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and maintain high-quality project documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP IS-OIL / TDP

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP IS-OIL TDP – Tariffs, Duty and Permits (IS-OIL-DS-TDP).
• Proven experience implementing or supporting Oil Excise Duty capabilities.
• Strong understanding of relevant SAP IS-OIL processes and integration with core SAP ERP.

Indirect Tax / FICO

• Strong functional experience in Indirect Tax processes.
• Experience with SAP FICO, particularly taxation-related processes.
• Strong knowledge of VAT processes and their integration with SAP ERP.
• Ability to translate tax and regulatory requirements into SAP functionality.

SAP ERP

• Strong functional experience in SAP ERP.
• Good understanding of at least one major ERP domain, such as:
• • Order-to-Cash (O2C)
  • Finance

  • Core ERP
• Understanding of cross-functional integration between business processes and SAP modules.

Transformation & Solution Design

• Proven experience working on global ERP implementations or large-scale transformation programmes.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into standardised SAP ERP configurations and solutions.
• Strong understanding of SAP standard functionality and fit-to-standard principles.
• Experience working in complex, geographically distributed organisations.

Delivery & Stakeholder Management

• Experience working within multi-vendor and global delivery models.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with business users, SAP functional/technical teams, implementation partners and third-party vendors.
